About Dr. Stefanie Robel

I grew up in Berlin, Germany, and completed a PhD in Neuroscience in Munich before permanently relocating to the US to pursue my passion in brain health. My research encompasses the studying of the cellular and molecular mechanisms that cause the slowly progressing but often permanent changes to brain function after mild Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion.

I became a personal development and leadership nerd during my postdoctoral training, initially to increase my competitiveness for faculty appointments. I started my independent research program in 2016, built a thriving research team, currently composed of 10 full-time members, and brought in more than $6M in funding during my first two years on the tenure track.

My entire world expanded when I discovered that I could apply my research skills to not just the human brain but the potential of the human mind.

With my newfound set of strategies and tools, I was happier. I performed better. I led my team more effectively. As my life became more balanced and my academic success grew, I shared these tools with my team and colleagues and I went even deeper into human potential as I trained as a life coach (in both 2014 and 2018) so I could help other academics achieve similar results.
